I ran into quite a bit of good luck today.
You see, because along with my lunch order from Subway, I found a free Cookie.
Not just any cookie. A double chocolate chip cookie from Subway.
I like it when I run into this sort of good luck. Everyone does. It’s like Life suddenly reminds you that sometimes, you’ll just randomly get something that makes it all worth it.
And what could be more worth it, than a double chocolate chip cookie. Ah good times.
Updates. They’re all around us. On Facebook, on Twitter. On your phone when that annoying piece of crap app suddenly reminds you that it wont work without getting the update.
Well, it’s all well and good except when you dont receive those updates from people you considered important.
I have a couple friends who are in Delhi right now. I had a friend who was in India a couple weeks ago.
All this, but I’ve yet to receive any updates from them. Not a “Hey I’m in your town” or a “I’m in Delhi, we should meet up!”.
No none of that at all. And these are people I considered friends.
It feels unfortunate that i receive so many updates from all around. But for the ones I considered important. Ah but unlike that aforementioned piece of crap app, I dont need that update to continue my current state of life.
Because in this case, while an update would be nice, it just simply isnt necessary. Because someone somewhere decided it isnt.
At that point, when you realize that. That is an unfortunate reality. Maybe you need to look at how you classify those friends. Maybe they were unnecessary updates all along.
Oh yes, I’m still very much alive and kicking.
Just that the darn fever I had for the whole last week knocked me completely off my “Online” routine.
Have to update things here. Still have my daily pictures, waiting to be uploaded. stay tuned !
When was the last time you looked up at the night sky, and looked at all the stars ?
I sure as heck cant remember.
Delhi’s been a busy city. My job’s been busy.
Not that I’m complaining though. I’m a city boy, and I love the rushed pace of Delhi.
But egads man. Why was the last time I looked up at the night sky, and looked at all the stars ?
I sure as heck. Cannot. Remember.
I’ve been so incredibly disappointed in myself lately.
Mostly because i’ve been in Delhi 7 Months now, and I’ve only seen the India Gate so far. ONE Monument.
Eesh.
Today me and a friend (wass up Dhruv!) headed to a place called “Khan Market” which was quite the place to walk around.
Tons of little boutiques, shops and restaurants. So refreshingly different from the usual bit of “Mall Culture” that I’m used to, eh ?
I need to get around and look at Delhi more. As of right now, I simply cannot afford to do much of that. But hey, here’s hoping, eh ?
“Mall Culture”.
That’s a funny bunch of words right there.
In Kuwait, all I knew was “Mall Culture”. Admittedly I didnt really think it was any sort of “culture” at all though. No, I never really heard that phase until a friend mentioned it a earlier today.
I think one of the things I love about Delhi, is the abundance of malls lol.
I know I know, that’s probably one of the lamest things I’ve ever said.
But it’s hey, that’s my culture
