One thing I love about living in a small town in Southern India, is the incredible amount of Nature around here. There’s trees and plants and greenery wherever you look (although this is changing unfortunately, as the town turns more into a “City“).
Took this picture with my Nokia N82 today. Most of the pictures in this blog are taken with my N82, the rest recently, taken with my E71.
Its amazing the kind of beauty you see in Nature, if you just take the time to stop and take a look around.
It seems the 1198/1198S are getting rave reviews, I think Ducati has another gem on their hand with this one. The new 1198S comes with the Ducati Traction Control (DTC) which is featured on the more expensive 1098R. There is increase of torque on this engine, I can’t imagine how that much torque would feel. All I have is a 18ps 17 bhp Honda. The claimed 170 bhp is just freakkin amazing. Link: MCN

A Dutch couple on a visit to the eastern Indian state of Bihar paid 10,000 rupees ($204) for four samosas, a spicy deep-fried snack that usually doesn’t cost more than a few rupees, a newspaper reported on Monday.
After the tourists ate the snacks, a stall owner at the Sonepur cattle fair last week told them his “special” samosas cost more because they were made of herbs and had aphrodisiac qualities, the Hindustan Times said.
After an argument, the couple paid the shopkeeper. But they later complained to a policeman. Police forced the shopkeeper to return the change — 9,990 rupees.($1=49 rupees).

Today was a Friend’s Birthday. Naim, is what we call him.
The lucky fella got two cakes and two surprise birthdays. Now thats a good bunch of friends right there ! I’d be lying if I said I wasnt a little bit envious.
Last year, I had a whole bunch of friends here. This year, its just a good few and unforth when my day comes along, everyone’s going to be busy and there will be no cakes to be had, forget being lucky enough to have two of them. Thinking of just going to Bangalore for my Birthday and drowning my sorrows in comfort food.
Ah the land of KFC, McD’s and actual Donuts….How I miss ye.
Rihanna teamed up with Justin Timberlake to shoot a new music video (her 87th) from her latest album Good Girl, Gone Bad. They trekked out to the SoCal desert to film sultry scenes for her new single Rehab.

So I was checking my Gmail today, just like every other day when I noticed this new notification at the top, telling me I could try out new different themes for Gmail !
This is great ! Finally we can change the boring ol’ look of Gmail. The themes available to choose from right now, arnt half bad either. There’s even a wicked “Ninja” theme ! Wooo ! I decided to go with the theme called “Shiny“, because that seemed the sleekest. And more my style W00t ! Chalk one more up for Gmail’s awesome features.
The only way this could be more awesome, was if it played the Imperial March theme song while we’re waiting for the toast. [Link]
This was how I started my day today…
Standing outside a Computer Shop, waiting for them to open up, so I could get my PC repaired.
They did open eventually though. Only 20 minutes late. People in this town, were never punctual anyway.
Thankfully the problem turned out to be just the power supply unit. At first, they thought it was the motherboard. That would have been an expensive and long operation.
Sigh. I’m thinking of picking up one of those Asus Eee PC’s to replace my ailing desktop PC. Any advice on that, y’all ?

Gah!!!!! Check out the new trailer for the Star Trek movie, which has been apparently been playing in movie theaters just minutes before the latest James Bond film, Quantum of Solace. They didnt show it in the Mangalore Screening on Quantum of Solace that I went to, though.
J. J. Abrams directed Star Trek, which will be released everywhere on May 8, 2009.

And this Toyota Tundra was created for the Ducati Desmosedici RR, with its custom extended 6.5inch it can do that and more. A motorized loading ramp is incorporated into the bed as well as integrated tool and spares storage. Modifications to the car such a supercharger bump it up to 500 bhp and 500-lbs/ft of torque with the Ducati paint job and white stripes. If I was a rich man, I wouldn’t mind getting my hands on this beast ! What a beautiful machine!
