Oh, the Video Games

Nov 15 2008

Despite the mass amounts of work I currently have to do, I’ve still managed to make some quality time for a little something I like to refer to as ‘video games’.

Indeed, I’ve somehow been sucked into the wonder that is my PSP and N-gage on the N96 I’m currently reviewing. And while I’ve enjoyed such fare as ONE and Brothers in Arms on N-gage and a few other games on my PSP, it wasn’t until I devoured a demo of Star Wars : Force Unleashed last week that I felt the gaming bug really get it’s claws into me.

The latest demon in my house is ONE on N-gage, which is the rare game that I enjoy beating the crap out of random strangers, moving the story forward. Kinda short game though, but what would you expect out of a mobile game ? I’ve honestly no time for console gaming anymore. I even have a spankin new GeForce 6200 (The only “new” gfx card compatible with my aging motherboard) that I have yet to take out for a test run. Running Vista isnt much of a test run so that doesnt count. Maybe I’ll download Age of Empires 3 and give it a go. Meh.

Once again, I am a video game junkie and I’m rather proud of the fact.

Have y’all seen the trailer for Gears of War 2 ? Holy shizz its so tempting to get an Xbox360 nowadays. Esspecially as Tekken 6 is coming to it and it was the only game tieing me to the PlayStation, really.

As a small aside to the Indian armed forces, if you’d like to increase recruitment, I can almost guarantee that adding a chainsaw to the guns in your videos and posters will do the trick.

Everyone likes a chainsaw gun.

(that last part was said using my best Marcus Fenix voice)
