Took this at the “Downtown” ( aka “DeeTee” ) pub in Manipal, earlier tonight.
Time for a little rant. At Downtown, I had the immense displeasure of being introduced to a total dick of a guy who just could not believe that I dont drink. “Dude you have to drink maaaan, how can you have fun otherwise ?”. “Wont you be bored watching everyone else drink ?”. He honestly would not let it go. This is from a guy that I had barely known for a few seconds. This wasnt the first time though. Last week, I had another friend of mine said “Why dont you drink ?” , “Whats wrong with you ?”
Wtf ? How do you talk to these kinds of people. If I dont have a problem with you getting drunk off your ass, why should you have a problem with me not drinking at all? What gives you the fucking right to judge me ?
I dont get anything out of drinking. I dont want to, I dont need to. All my friends know and agree, I’m a pretty fun guy to be around, without having to be drunk off my ass to do so. And I’ve been raised in a culture that teaches you to survive without it. That there are other way to “have fun” in life (Although, I know many other people from Kuwait, who dont follow the same principle).
Either respect my decision or dont fucking hang around me.
