Petrol Prices drop : Teh Cj rejoices
W00t ! Petrol prices finally dropped here in Manipal. By like 2 bucks lol. Its not much but heck I’m not complaining. Not as cheap as back home in Kuwait though.
I still wonder how they decided on exactly Rs 59.25p for the premium petrol though lol.

My Early Birthday Present : Optimus Prime

Not bad eh ? Its an action figure of Optimus Prime from the new Transformers Animated Series. Srsly if anyone wants to make me happy for my Birthday, just get me a Transformer Toy lol.
I got it from the Bharat Mall in Mangalore when I went along with Errol, Rhea and Usha to watch my first Hindi Movie. I think Rhea and Usha lost all respect for me when they saw me buy it. “Its just a useless toy”. ITS AN ACTION FIGURE !
Now if I could only get a Megatron Transformer action Figure, my Life would be complete.

A good day
Today was a really good day.
First of all opening my new bank account went along painlessly. I’m really hoping my Debit card works with Paypal when it gets activated a week from now.
Second, a personal goal fulfilled. That is, write an article on ZomgitsCj good enough to be mentioned on AllAboutSymbian.com. Wow that sure was awesome.
And lastly, my Reset Generation Report being N-gage Report of the week on the S60.com site. Thats an honour for sure !
All this in one day. W00t ! A good day indeed.
New Bank Account
Got a new bank account today. Just for Paypal. In a week I’ll be able to use it. Hope everything works out. Sigh.
Beyonce’s performance at this years AMAs
So last night was the American Music Awards 2008. A giant event that I usually try to catch every year.
Beyoncé, bless her heart, gave the best live performance of the night imho. She gave a live performance of her hit single Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It). Homegirl turned that mutha OUT! After the jump, watch video of her performance in full …

Dang! Dancing and singling live like that? I suppose ‘fierce‘ is the only word that comes to mind. And I *love* the white lady waving her hand at the 3:17 mark in the vid. LMAO! The only thing that could’ve made her performance even better would probably be THIS guy dancing backup with her.

Checking out an Indian Movie : Dostana
So yesterday was a really fun day. Errol, Rhea, Usha and I headed to Mangalore to watch this Hindi Movie called “Dostana“. This is like the first Hindi Movie I’ve watched all year. And I’m impressed that my travels around India have taught me enough Hindi, that I understood most of the dialogues in the movie, although there were plenty of times when I’d turn to Usha next to me and go “What’d they say ? What’d they saaaay ?“
We were hanging out at Cafe Coffee Day over at Manipal when we came up with the Idea. This is what happens when there arnt any new English Movies to watch at the Mangalore Theatre. We honest, good, English movie watching people have to watch Hindi movies.
Rhea got this cool medal for graduating from University.
Wth. I didnt get any medal ! I want a medal ! It had this crazy engraving of some random dude on the back who we tried to figure out the identity of.

An hour and a half bus ride later, we JUST made it in time for the movie. Here’s us hanging out in the theatre :

Ah good times.
Dostana’s a pretty fun movie. Simply because the script is amazing and the comic timing of all the actors is right on. This is what the sordid multi-starrer hindi comedies these days don’t have. A strong script with witty humor rather than slapstick acts. I wont get into the movie plot, but its basically an updated version of the English movie, I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry.
Its a film you know you shouldn’t be taking seriously. Although, I know a couple scenes might be a little offensive to gay people. You can watch this film for a couple hours of non-stop fun and entertainment.
The story gets a bit predictable and drags out a bit, in the end but as I mentioned earlier, great dialogues and good script makes it work.
I would say go for it and laugh out loud! I know I did.
After the movie, we headed right back to Cafe Coffee Day in the Bharat Mall to hang out and waste a little time again. Here’s Errol sippin’ on his awesome Mango Frappe :

We really had a lot of Symbian Nokia phones with us that day.
Not a bad collection eh ?
Overall, it was a massively fun day. I cant believe I laughed that much at a hindi movie. I think I have new respect for hindi movies in general now lol.

…is getting a new Action Figure to play with as an early Birthday Present.
Even better if its one that you actually wanted.
Besides, who knows me better than me, right ?

Pikachu Fans really scare Me
There are fans, and then there are people who are just extreme. I know a lot of people who are huge fans of anime but this particular case is just very disturbing. This women was probably dropped on her head as a child or something, to reach this point.
